Monkeying Around

Happy Halloween!

I was a lion by day and a monkey by night!

I helped G-mom cook... or did I just make a big mess?

Ooooh... more drawers! What's inside, Mommy?

I do love making a mess!

I want to give a big thanks to Maki for my lion costume and a giant hug to Ian (and his mommy, Tiffany) for my monkey suit! I had so much fun wearing them both! What a lucky boy I am (or so mommy tells me...) I CANNOT wait until next Halloween!

Pumpkin Patch II

Just one more pumpkin for the front porch, mommy! Please? I really like the kind with the bumps!

Enough of these pumpkins. I want to check out the gourds.

Grrr. Can we go home, mommy? I think I have hay stuck in my mouth.

I am tired, Bonnie. Is it nap time, yet?

Can I try some pumpkin bread, too?

Pumpkin Patch

On Wednesday, October 29th, Mommy, Bonnie and I went to a pumpkin patch. I got to wear my monkey and lion costumes while the ladies took pictures. We also bought baking pumpkins to make soup and bread. Yum.

This pumpkin has warts, mommy.

Hay tastes good.

Where's my banana?

ALCS 2008

After yesterday's game against Tampa Bay, I wonder, "What happened?"

I wore my lucky Little Papi shirt... and mommy wore her Big Papi shirt, so what went wrong?

I know! Mom should make turkey burgers tonight! That will guarantee a win! As Tampa leads Boston 2-1, we have to keep our fingers (and toes) crossed that tonight they kick some major diapers tonight at Fenway! I want to see my first World Series! Go RED SOX!

My New House and... the RED SOX!

Okay. So mommy finally let me use the mac today. It has been in the cabinet for quite some time. I think she was waiting for wireless internet or maybe the new power cord? I dunno. But I miss this little computer! That silly HP is hard to type on, yet I love to watch the replays and interviews on mlb.com.

Last night, Boston beat the LA Angels at Fenway! They will play the Devil Rays (or is it just the Rays?) Friday night in Florida. Stupid indoor baseball field. Mommy invited G-dad and Spanky over but Memphis is playing Louisville. Sigh. I guess it will be just me, mommy and Chris. Maybe we can get Julie to watch as well?

More blogs to come soon... with NEW photos! I sure did miss my mac! Thank you for remaining patient with me, faithful readers. And with mommy- she really has been busy the past two months. Now she is studying for something called the GRE. How does she find the time to do all this?

Off to bed (again). Love and hugs,

Aiden the Cole

Ma MA!

Last Tuesday, Aiden said Ma ma for the first time!

I was trying to be very practical about it- oh, no. He doesn't really know what he is saying... so I continue washing dishes. Tired and worn out from the move, I was looking forward to baby bedtime.

In an attempt to get my undivided attention, Aiden stops bouncing in the jump up and exclaims, "Ma MA!"

I shut off the water, turned around and stared at him; with a grin, he began bouncing again... then said, " Ma ma" very calmly.

Quickly finishing the dishes, I turn my back on him again and the same thing happened- Ma MA with shrill emphasis on the second syllabul. How precious, I thought. Aiden is trying to get my attention.

Since then, he has called me Ma ma every day, but usually when he wants my attention, while we are driving, or if he is procrastinating nap or bed time. Ah, ha. Smart little guy. Make an irritated mommy's heart melt!

We are currently working on "Gee-dad," "Juu-wee" and "Ma-kee." Bonnie, Spanky and Miranda will have to come later!

New pictures of Aiden Cole and the NEW house to come soon...

Ba, ba, ba, Ma, ba, BA !

Aiden has begun to babble.

It is too cute, especially when he does it to get my attention. (For example, I was in the pantry searching for something and he exclaimed, "Ba BA!" loudly. I turned around and he grinned at me, continuing to scoot along the floor in his new walker. Several minutes later, I reach out of the kitchen for the baby food, greeted by "BAH!")

Every time I think we are closer to a "Ma ma," the bah or ba gets thrown in... it is only when Aiden cries, that he will occasionally wails, "ma ma ma ma..." This is unintentional, I assume (or I hope).

"Ma bah. Ba ba ba ba" during bath time is a greater attempt at defining who I am. Or so I choose to believe. It could just be all baby talk. But it does bring me closer to Ma ma!
